Mrs. Morenike Obi-Farinde is the Counsel and Head of Operations for Africa at Rimsom Associates. A seasoned attorney Mrs. Obi-Farinde has represented various banks and financial institutions as well as leading real estate investors. With over 15 years experience as a legal practitioner, she holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Lagos. Mrs Obi-Farinde has also been awarded a practice Diploma in International Business Organisations by The College of Law of England and Wales.
A solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a member of the International (IBA) and Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). Mrs. Obi-Farinde is also an Alternative Dispute Resolution Practitioner, duly accredited (CEDR-Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) Mediator, member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), and the Negotiation and Conflict Management Group project managers of the First court connected Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) centre in Africa-The Lagos Multi-Door Court House.
Mrs Obi-Farinde was appointed a member of the governing Council member of the Office of the Public Defender in Lagos State in 2006. The Office of the Public Defender is a response of the democratically elected Government in Lagos State to provide free legal services to the indigent in society who have unequal access to justice.
