Despite the existence for several years now, of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), under which Nigerian exports are eligible for duty-free entry of eligible goods into the United States, relatively few Nigerian companies have taken advantage of this trade preference law. RIMSOM Associates seeks to train selected Nigerian business people on the provisions of AGOA and the nature of, and procedures for exporting to the U.S. market.

The Workshop

Rimsom is spearheading a drive to encourage Nigerian companies that are export oriented to take full advantage of AGOA. A workshop series program is underway to increase accessibility by exporters to information, awareness and support.

This workshop series began in June 2008, and is designed to cover topics listed above.
